Conscious Connections

In a world so focused on the Internet and advancing technologies, virtual friendships and unconscious communication is an accepted part of the average teenager’s daily life. By pressing a few buttons, you can have entire conversations without ever looking at or speaking directly with another person. The Whispering Song Teaching Lodge supports me in my communication and in living a more authentic life. I love learning the Tribal teachings as taught by my teacher Gaisheda Kheawok.

Being with my tribe, I have found a much deeper level of trust than anywhere else. I always look forward to our Celtic Calendar events, which provide the opportunity to reconnect with the Earth Mother, my tribe and my friends. Every time we gather, I am given a chance to let go of old patterns and bring in new ways of being into my life. The energy of the Avalon Retreat Centre (ARC) is amazing! I love going there. It is so far away from the media and our superficial culture. The labyrinth at ARC leads me gently to the stillness within where I can hear my soul. When I’m in the Medicine Wheel Garden I can feel the energy pouring through me and filling me with everything I need at that moment. In the cleansing waters of Goddess Lake, I can feel all my troubles wash away. The water can really change your energy.
At ARC, it’s not just another summer camp. Everything we do here has purpose I actually stop to listen to the natural world. I deepen my connection with the Earth Mother and with myself. When we sing the medicine songs as a collective with intent, I feel the purpose and truth in our intent. At ARC, I remember that I have a place on the wheel.
I am a child of the earth and I am a part of the Earth Tribe.
