The time for us to open to our Soul's Journey is NOW
The journey of the Soul is an interesting concept in a world that reveres the linear and practical realties of day-to-day living. The Celtic Calendar shares in the dance of the sun and moon and honours the cycles of life. Currently in the feminine cycle - the time of darkness - we are being given the opportunity to change the way in which we view ourselves and the world around us.
Cultural religion has taught us to fear the dark, yet the Ancestral Tribal Teachings celebrate it as the time of gestation and rebirth. Life is created within the darkness of the womb, and from that darkness, life emerges. We are currently pregnant with new opportunities for change and growth.
Global warming has given us a wet summer and one of the warmest falls I can remember, with still no sign of snow up north - very unusual for this time of year. The seasonal cycles teach us the rhythm of our Mother. Our bodies and souls are intricately tied to this natural rhythm of life, whether we are conscious of it or not. Can we change the rhythm? In our linear reality, we perceive it is possible. The wisdom of our planet however, is greater than any of us can possibly imagine. In the tribal tradition, we know that we are not separate from the stones, the trees, the water, the fire, or the air – that we are part of the collective dance. This connection is inherent to our existence, and is constant. How is it that our culture has journeyed so far from this wisdom, from this “old way” of being? The time for us to open to our soul’s journey, to our natural and personal rhythms, is NOW.
At the Whispering Song Teaching Lodge, we offer curriculum and programming to support the two-legged during these times that we live in. I invite you to join us in establishing a “new, old way” of being, on this sacred planet, so that the next seven generations may tell the stories of those who saved the earth, by choosing differently from the linear realities of their culture. How can you still perceive that you are not a part of the solution?
In the name of the Great Mother, I look forward to the learning curve. Remember, we are all in this together.
Namaste and Blessings, Gaisheda Kheawok
