Gaisheda Kheawok’s voice ignited the opening ceremonies, calling us to action and inspiring all those present to “make a difference” on our individual and collective journeys with the Earth Mother. He brought his insights and blessings to the event, highlighting the importance of holding group intention, noting that as human beings we have the power to hold the lake and all water in our unlimited consciousness. Walk, Pray, Water – 1000 prayers for Water is an annual interfaith celebration to honour water and pray for its safe keeping, kindly organized at the Toronto site this year by Lee Majewski.
We are grateful to the Peace Elders like Gaisheda Kheawok and Sri Vasudeva who reflect how we can walk together and live with our Earth in balance and harmony. Walk, Pray, Water was a powerful event, filled with song and sacred chants, open hearts and loving hands that resonated out through the waves of consciousness and into the waves of Lake Ontario.
