A Sucessful Teachings of the Fire Workshop
Wisdom of the Earth Mother Weekend
Sept 19th to 22nd, 2008
For over 25 years, Peace Elder Gaisheda Kheawok has been holding the Teachings of the Fire workshop in the powerful balancing energies of Fall Equinox with the Whispering Song Teaching Lodge. The rich legacy of this tradition was shared with retreat participants, who had the opportunity to experience a Shamanic Clarity Quest and receive the Earth Wisdoms through meditation and ceremony with the elemental Teachers: Earth, Air, Fire & Water.
Participants were honoured in this re-birthing process by being given their own Medicine Name, an emotional experience for many and an inspiration for all! It was a extraordinary event - a weekend described as "life changing."
"This was a significant experience for me. I felt tremendously supported to move through the old limits I've put on myself and to experience abilities within myself that I had not even known were a part of me. A truly life changing weekend - one which feels like it will stay with me for years to come."
C. Chater, Occupational Therapist
"I had no idea what to expect the first Teachings of the Fire and was struck by how much clearer and stronger I felt at the end of the weekend. I can't imagine starting my fall off with out this powerfully aligning event. It is a gift I give myself every year - and every time is completley different and every time I am changed."
