“April showers bring May flowers…”
As we move into the brightest, warmest time of the year in the peak of the Masculine cycle, we are invited to re-evaluate our actions and how we choose to walk in the world. We are confronted with ourselves, on a deep and intimate level. We must re-choose and re-commit to who we are and how we choose to manifest who we are in the world. In this process we are confronted with all the ways in which we continue to abandon who we are and what we know; choosing not to employ the most basic of principles and practices we have known for ages!
Though we know the importance of daily meditation and checking in on ourselves and our emotions, we often let the busy-ness of the everyday take over as we tell ourselves that we just “don’t have time” to do the things we know we need to do to take care of ourselves.
We are reminded again that if we make a daily practice of connecting with ourselves, checking in on our needs, and learning how to meet those needs, we can avoid a great deal of drama and lessons and learnings. Once we “know better”, Creator expects us to “do better” and we can no longer hide from what we are manifesting in our lives by living in a state of confusion or victim consciousness.
When we apply this to how we walk in the world, we know that all true intimacy begins with intimacy with ourselves and Creator. Like every relationship, the more effort and time we invest, the deeper the trust and intimacy we develop with ourselves and the Divine.
One of the greatest practices for self-intimacy is being able to feel and name our emotions without judgement. It is in this way that we gain a greater understanding of who we are and why we are here. “The sound of your tears is the sound of your Soul, singing you to your next destination.”
We are recommitting to ourselves and our spiritual disciplines, for we know that by practicing what we know every day, we gain strength and momentum; we become more of who we are as Souls and we leave behind that which no longer serves us.
Please join us on this journey as we explore more of who we are as Souls at Exploring Your Gifts of Birth and the Karmic Wheel on April 10th.
As we move forward we remember that, were it not for those wonderful “April showers” of emotions, there would be no “May flowers” of growth and empowerment!
Namaste,
